The Countdown: 10 Days to Go!

It's hard to believe that in less than two weeks I will be boarding another 20+ hour flight across the Pacific Ocean. After returning from Korea, I had sworn off long flights to Asia for a while. But I am really looking forward to seeing Rachel and Jason; they have been a huge factor in deciding on SE Asia for our destination this summer.

I have been teaching an enrichment summer school program for the past two weeks and finishing up an online graduate course, so I honestly have not had a lot of time to let thoughts of my upcoming travels sink in and get as excited as I know I will be after summer school ends.

Ted and I have taken our final dose of the typhoid medication, and I have just persuaded a friend to water my plants and feed the four baby water turtles
I recently adopted in NYC when I was there visiting my brother. There are a few things we still need to pull together, but we are on our way.

I hope you make it to the area! That would be awesome. Give me a call when you are back in the states and let me know where you end up.

P.S. I haven't been able to access your blog in a long time. It says access denied. Are you still writing it?

Looking forward to hearing about your trip! I couldn't find the Hanoi Hilton when I went there. But I recommend the ethnology museum and water puppets show while you are in Hanoi.

Hi Courtney!

Glad you made it! I remember seeing rats sold as entrees on some restaurant menus. I guess one ran away from the cook! Have fun and be safe!

I took the site down since I'm job searching now. I'll def. be in touch with you once I'm back and settled in the U.S.

I went to Vietnam a few years ago for business and loved it. Wish I had had more time there...
